Spring Makeover

Spring cleaning applies to your cosmetic bag too!  Now that the weather is getting warmer and I am starting to bring out my sundresses and sandals, it's time to freshen up my face too.

I splurged after work (broke by choice) and picked up a few key items for spring.  My first choice was "Dallas" blush by Benefit - forget bronzer.  Dallas gives you a healthy glow without the risk of appearing orange and over done.  I like to use it on my cheekbones as a blush and then lightly apply a little across my nose and forehead to even out my coloring.

A new item for me is the "High Beam" also by Benefit Cosmetics - Benefit is my all time favorite.  I keep seeing photos of Gigi Hadid and other celebs with that fresh, bright dewy look and High Beam seems like it could be the answer.  It is applied with a nail polish like brush and you just make little dots under and around your eyes and down the center of your face.  Just blend in with your finger and the areas you have highlighted will appear clean and bright.  I'm so into it.

Lastly,  I used up 2 of my lipglosses completely, perhaps for the first time ever so I bought the "Bellini" colored lip cream from Buxom - another one of my favorite cosmetic lines.  It's pretty neutral, but glossy, plumping and nourishing and I think it is the quintessential lip color for spring.  I think lipstick is still great for nighttime, but I think lipgloss is the way to go this spring.

Now I just need to get my hair cut/colored!

Take Care,
T
